The level of combat readiness of Aviation Units and Quick Reaction Forces has been checked in accordance with combat readiness program of the State Border Service of Azerbaijan.

Capabilities of specifying the place of a conditional terrorist group, which violated the state border, and skills of deploying land forces by helicopters were checked, and parachute jumping of the landing forces were successfully carried out.

The Quick Reaction Forces, awakened with the command of “Alert”, reached to the gathering points on time and immediately started the fulfillment of combat tasks. Shootings at targets from missiles controlled from the helicopters were accurately completed.

Combat readiness and firing capabilities of the Quick Reaction Forces in armored vehicles in impassable mountainous terrain, level of interaction between aviation units and quick reaction forces and their coordination were inspected. The Aviation Units conducted a variety of maneuvers and personnel demonstrated strict discipline and professionalism.

First Deputy Prime Minister Yagub Eyyubov and Azerbaijani State Border Service Chief, Lieutenant-General Elchin Guliyev observed the exercises.

Combat readiness of the units involved in the exercises was highly-assessed, additional instructions were given for execution of the orders and instructions of Azerbaijani President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev.

Azerbaijan holds regular military drills to check the training level and fighting capability of the army. Azerbaijani Army held the major command and staff military exercises in September.

The Azerbaijani leadership empowers the military and has moved to formulate the necessary armament policy by adhering to international requirements.

Azerbaijan's military build-up is in line with the country's legal right to liberate its occupied lands by means of war, should it be necessary.
