A soldier of Azerbaijani Army has been wounded as a result of sabotage by the Armenian armed forces on the contact line of Armenian-Azerbaijani troops.

Re-enlisted Azerbaijani army soldier Bahruz Nasibov got slight injure on his arm during a shelling by the Armenian military, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry reported on November 30.

Nasibov was provided with medical treatment. His health state is normal.

The situation on the contact line between Azerbaijan and Armenia has remained tense as the Armenian Armed Forces shattered ceasefire a total of 100 times throughout the day, Defense Ministry said.

Azerbaijani armed forces carried out 102 strikes on enemy positions.

Despite calls by the international community to abide by the ceasefire agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Yerevan ignores them aggravating situation even more.

At a time when the international mediators make efforts to organize a meeting between Azerbaijani and Armenian presidents for discussing ways on reaching peaceful solution to the long-standing Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Armenian militaries intentionally escalate the tension on contact line.

This once again proves that Yerevan is interested keeping the status quo and occupation of Azerbaijani territories. Therefore, it attempts to disrupt peace talks with all means.

Armenia and Azerbaijan fought a lengthy war that ended with the signing of a fragile ceasefire in 1994. More than 20,000 Azerbaijanis were killed and over 1 million were displaced as a result of the large-scale hostilities. Since the war, Armenian armed forces have occupied 20 percent of Azerbaijan's territory, including Nagorno-Karabakh and seven surrounding regions. Armenia continues the occupation in defiance of four UN Security Council resolutions calling for immediate and unconditional withdrawal.

Peace talks brokered by mediators from Russia, France and the U.S. have produced no results so far.
