Participants in the meeting include Vice-President of the Azerbaijani National Olympic Committee and ISSF Chingiz Huseynzade, member of ISSF Executive Committee Konul Nurullayeva and other members of ISSF, Azertac reported.

The agenda includes the determination of the date of the next gathering and future tasks. The participants will also discuss preparations for the fourth Islamic Solidarity Games.

Also, the 9th General Assembly of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation will be held in Baku on November 4.

Delegations of Indonesia, the Canary Islands, Senegal, Sierra-Leone, Egypt, Cameroon, and Turkey have arrived in Baku to attend the General Assembly.

Honored Secretary General of the ISSF Prince Abdullah bin Mosaad bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, members of the Executive Committee and the Coordination Commission, as well as secretary generals of the National Olympic Committees will also participate in the event.

Youth and Sports Minister Azad Rahimov, Vice-President of the NOC Chingiz Huseynzade and other officials of the National Olympic Committee will represent Azerbaijan at the event.

The decision to hold the fourth Islamic Solidarity Games in Baku was made at the eighth General Assembly of the ISSF in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia in July 2013.

At present, preparatory works for a major sport event are underway in Baku.

The Games, which will bring together athletes from 57 countries, will be held under the slogan “Solidarity is our power”. More than 160 Azerbaijani sportsmen will participate in the Games. The Muslim religion of all athletes is not a pre-condition for participation in the competition.

The Islamic Solidarity Games is a multinational, multi-sport event involving the elite athletes of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation, which is the second largest inter-governmental organization after the UN with 57 member states spread over four continents.
