A festival for young children from orphanages and the Rehabilitation Center for Children with Down Syndrome was organized under the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation within the framework of the first European Games on June 16.

The festival was attended by Leyla Aliyeva, the Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

Children participating in the festival enjoyed the mood set by the first European Games, and with characteristic sincerity and boundless joy, contributed to the special atmosphere that reins the capital. The children were greeted by the mascots of Baku 2015 - Nar and Jeyran. Aliyeva shared the joy of the children.

The festive fun gathered children from orphanages No. 1 in Nizami district No.3 in Khatai district, No.2 of Surakhani district and the Rehabilitation Center for Children with Down Syndrome.

The Heydar Aliyev Foundation, an established charity that seeks to tend to the younger generations through various humanitarian actions, once again presented children's institutions of the capital with an unforgettable day.

A festive atmosphere lifted the mood of the children and the kids performed various dances. As usual, the Foundation brought children presents. Among these gifts were also souvenirs of the first European Games.

Young residents of the country supported the first European Games at the event. Kids took part in a short distance running competition. They also participated in various games and quizzes related to the first European Games. The winners were rewarded with gifts from the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

Charity is one of the key priorities of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, as it has carried out charity campaigns aimed at integrating children deprived of parental and family care into society, and ensuring the effective organization of leisure activities.

As part of these campaigns, the Foundation provides a broad range of assistance and sends gifts to orphanages and boarding schools, while also organizing concerts and entertainment.
