Azerbaijani-Turkish unity to continue for centuries
Ali Hasanov, Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs Ali Hasanov has hailed his country`s relations with Turkey.
“Azerbaijani-Turkish unity is historical and will continue for
centuries,” he told Turkish media representatives who are on a
visit in Azerbaijan organized by the Turkish Journalists
Federation.
Hasanov praised joint activities of Azerbaijani and Turkish
diasporas towards increasing the world community`s awareness of
each other`s realities.
“Turkey has always assisted Azerbaijan in removing heavy
consequences of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and supported our
just cause. Today the Turkish and Muslim world should jointly fight
against Armenian aggressors,” he added.
He drew the Turkish journalists` attention to four resolutions of
the UN Security Council demanding unconditional and immediate
withdrawal of the Armenian armed forces from the occupied
Azerbaijani lands.
“The Armenians` aggressive policy was also condemned in the
resolutions of the OSCE, PACE, OIC, Non-Aligned Movement and other
international organizations. Armenia refuses to honour the
requirements of the international community and continues its
illegal activity in Azerbaijan`s occupied lands. The negotiations,
brokered by the OSCE` Minsk Group, has continued for more than 20
years but without any results,” he added.
Hasanov also provided an insight into overall successes of the
country out under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev.
Representative of the Turkish Journalists Federation Yilmaz Karaca
stressed the importance of increasing the number of such meetings,
AzerTac state news agency reported.
