Next meeting between Azerbaijani, Turkish and Turkmen foreign ministers will take place in Turkmenistan.

Elmar Mammadyarov, Mevlut Cavusoglu and Rashid Meredov will meet on January 29, Turkish Foreign Ministry’s website reported.

During the meeting, the sides intend to discuss numerous regional and economic issues, as well as the development of relations, according to the message.

The first trilateral meeting of the Azerbaijani, Turkish and Turkmen foreign ministers took place in Baku last May.

The meeting was focused on a wide range of issues, including the economic relations, energy projects, and cooperation within international organizations.

Experts believe the establishment of a tripartite relationship between Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Turkmenistan will be beneficial to all the three states.

The three mentioned countries decided to establish the Turkey-Azerbaijan-Turkmenistan tripartite format in late 2013. Azerbaijan is also member of other two tripartite formats: Azerbaijan-Turkey-Georgia and Azerbaijan-Turkey-Iran.
