Azerbaijan, UAE enjoy strong relations

UAE Foreign Minister Anwar Mohammed Qarqash said the United Arab Emirates and Azerbaijan had strong relations.
“The UAE is willing to further strengthening these ties with
Azerbaijan,” he noted in his interview with AzerTag state news
agency.
Qarqash highlighted the activity of the embassies in both
countries, adding the UAE tries to increase trade turnover and
intensify reciprocal visits.
UAE Economy Minister, co-chairman of the commission Sultan bin
Saeed Al Mansoori also spoke about the great achievements in
economy between the two sides.
“The Azerbaijan-UAE intergovernmental commission for economic, trade and technical cooperation has achieved great accomplishments in increasing trade turnover and reciprocal investments between the two countries,” he stated.
The minister said that tourism in both destinations is increasing. The transportation companies will start working in the future to bring UAE tourists to Azerbaijan.
He noted that talks between the two countries on investments in
the agriculture, infrastructure and Baku White City are
underway.
Al Mansoori further noted that the UAE is ready to share its
expertise in logistics, alternative and renewable energy with
Azerbaijan and invest in gas projects, wind energy.
He pointed out that the parties agreed to establish the joint
group to implement the scheduled projects.
The fifth meeting of Intergovernmental Commission on economy, trade
and technical cooperation between Azerbaijan and the UAE held in
Baku on November 17-18 discussed current state of relations, works
carried out during the past period from the Commission’s 4th
meeting and expansion of cooperation prospects.
Azerbaijan and the UAE reached an agreement on the issue of providing the necessary support and promoting the activities of their business communities, private and public enterprises, as well as professional organizations to establish joint ventures in sectors.
