President Aliyev holds several meetings

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev received Former Prime Minister of Italy, General Secretary of the Agency for Research and Legislation Enrico Letta on October 1, AzerTag state news agency reported.

Letta said he watched with great interest the visit of President Ilham Aliyev to Italy, and stressed the importance of the projects carried out by Azerbaijan in Italy.

President Aliyev recalled his visit and meetings held in Italy. He stressed the importance of adoption of the joint declaration on strategic partnership between the two countries.

The sides highlighted significance of Baku International Humanitarian Forum, the role of the Forum in strengthening the cooperative relations among the countries and exchanged views on issues of mutual interest.

President Aliyev also has received the Former President of Estonia Arnold Rüütel.

The Head of State said Baku International humanitarian Forum was a good tradition and highlighted the increasing interest to the event year by year.

President Aliyev said state officials and scientists from 60 countries all over the world would attend the Forum this year, adding Baku Humanitarian Forum was already an international event.

Rüütel, in turn, thanked for invitation to the Baku Humanitarian Forum and stressed the importance of the event covering wide circles of various countries and nations.

He praised the organization of the Forum under the leadership of President Aliyev every year and stressed the significance of the event.

Later, President Aliyev received ISESCO Director General Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri.

They hailed the successful development of the beneficial cooperation between Azerbaijan and ISESCO and expressed their confidence on further development of the ties.

The sides also spoke about the significance of the Baku International Humanitarian Forum and stressed the role of the Forum in strengthening the ties between the peoples and intercultural dialogue.
