Bulgarian president arrives in Baku
President of Bulgaria Rosen Plevneliev arrived in Azerbaijan on September 19, AzerTag state news agency reported.
A guard of honor was lined up for the Bulgarian president at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport decorated with the national flags of the two countries.
President Plevneliev was welcomed by Azerbaijani Energy Minister Natig Aliyev and other officials.
Plevneliev will attend the ground breaking ceremony of the "Southern Gas Corridor" in Baku which is one of the most comprehensive natural gas projects in the world. Gas to be extracted from Shah Deniz will be taken to Europe via Turkey.
