Quake jolts Azerbaijani sector of Caspian Sea
An underwater earthquake jolted the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea on September 9, the Republican Seismological Service Center of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) reported.
The earthquake was recorded at 10:47 in the Caspian Sea, some 37 kilometers north-west of Azerbaijan's Gobustan District.
The magnitude of the earthquake was 3.3 on the Richter scale, while its center was at a depth of 55 kilometers.
