Baku to host next International Humanitarian Forum in fall
Azerbaijan's capital Baku will host the fourth Baku
International Humanitarian Forum on October 2-3, according to a
statement posted on the forum's official website.
Humanitarian problems, prospects and challenges of the 21st century
based on the realities of a globalizing world are expected to be
discussed within the framework of the forum.
Organizers of the forum as representatives of the natural,
economic, human sciences and cultural elite, set an ambitious task
to form a new humanitarian agenda for the purpose of its further
consideration at the international level.
"Round tables" on the following topics will be held within the
framework of the forum: "Comparative studies of multiculturalism:
from theory to humanistic practice", "The transformation of the
media in the digital age: the new trends of development", "The role
of interdisciplinary integration in the innovative development",
"Sustainable development and ecological civilization", "The
challenges of globalization: between tradition and transformation",
"Molecular biology and biotechnology in the XXI Century: Theory,
Practice and Prospects", "The convergence of technologies and the
shape of the future: the main challenges of the XXI century",
"Humanism as a basic postmodern value".
Prominent figures of science and culture of different countries,
including Nobel Prize winners are expected to attend.
A special edition including basic information about the
participants and detailed characterization of issues raised at the
round tables will be prepared to the beginning of the forum.
