Gabala, being one of the most beautiful parts of Azerbaijan with a rich and ancient history, an abundance of attractions, beautiful nature and well-developed infrastructure attracts lots of tourists from across the world. Naturally, the number of visitors from the CIS-countries, such as Russia is far more than other countries. This highlighted the need to open new flights between the two countries.

Now, Russian MetroJet Airlines is expected to launch the direct flight between Moscow and Gabala from July 12, "Azerbaijan Airlines" (AZAL) said on July 4. The flight will be operated on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Currently, another Russian airline - "Ural Airlines" - carries flights on this route. Flights are operated on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

Moreover, AZAL has began to operate a direct flight between Baku and Krasnoyarsk from July 4. The flight by a Boeing aircraft is expected to be carried out on Fridays.

The largest amusement park under the open sky in Azerbaijan - Gabaland -- is located in Gabala. Visitors can enjoy various kinds of attractions, ice arena, carting, sports fields, XD theatre, as well as delicious foods in numerous restaurants and cafes.

The town also hosts an annual international music festival of classical music, jazz and mugham, which is attended by bands and artists from around the world. Moreover, every two years a contest of piano art is held in the town. So it is no surprise that a factory involved in piano manufacturing under the famous Dutch brand Beltman is located exactly in Gabala.
