Azerbaijani, Bulgarian prosecutor general's offices ink co-op program

Azerbaijan and Bulgaria signed a cooperation program between the prosecutor general's offices of the two countries on July 1.

Signed by Azerbaijan's First Deputy Prosecutor General Rustam Usubov and Bulgarian Deputy Prosecutor General Yevgeni Dikov, the document aims to strengthen relations between the two countries' prosecution authorities, particularly in conducting exchange of experiences and employees.

The two countries inked the agreement on the sidelines of "Fight against corruption: international standards and national experiences" international conference, held in Baku.

The event brought together representatives of Turkey, Albania, Moldova, Croatia, Georgia, Principalities of Monaco and Liechtenstein, Justice Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Croatia, heads of specialized anti-corruption bodies of France, Poland, Lithuania, Macedonia and Serbia and so on.

The event attended by the Group of States against Corruption (GRECO) and the International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA) was co-organized by the State of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Council of Europe.

Bulgaria and Azerbaijan established diplomatic relations in the June 1992.

Their relations have been expanded in the last ten years. Political, economic, scientific, technological and cultural relations are developing rapidly between two sides. The presidents of both countries have repeatedly declared their interest in the expansion of relations.
