Azerbaijan attaches great importance to developing ties with Oman: envoy
Azerbaijani ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman and Yemen Rasim Rzayev has handed over his credentials to Sultan of Oman Qaboos bin Said Al Said.
During the ceremony, the ambassador said there was huge potential for enhancing cooperation between the two countries, AzerTag state news agency reported.
He added Azerbaijan attached great importance to developing its relationship with Oman.
Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al Said expressed confidence that the ambassador`s tenure would contribute to strengthening bilateral ties.
Rzayev praised Oman`s supporting Azerbaijan`s position in international organizations.
The ambassador noted it was important that the two countries open diplomatic missions, adding "this will certainly contribute to expanding our bilateral relations".
