CoE Secretary General to visit Azerbaijan

A delegation of the Council of Europe (CoE) headed by Secretary General Thorbjorn Jagland will visit Azerbaijan on April 22-24, a source at the CoE told Trend Agency.
The visit is aimed to discuss the prospects for cooperation between the CoE and Azerbaijan, as well as the issues regarding Azerbaijan's chairmanship in the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe.
During the visit, the delegation is expected to hold meetings with the Azerbaijani officials, including the parliamentary speaker, foreign minister and justice minister.
It is also expected to announce the official start of the
Council of Europe's action plan for Azerbaijan, which covers the
period from 2014 to 2016.
