Turkey hosted Azerbaijani week events

The Azerbaijani delegation headed by Chairman Center of
Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan
(SAM) Farhad Mammadov held several meetings and events in Bursa,
Izmir, Balikesir, Bandirma, Yalova, Edirne, and capital Ankara
within the framework of the "Azerbaijani week" held in Turkey on
November 18-20.
During the meeting between the Azerbaijani delegation members and
Bursa Municipal Chairman Recep Altap, a satisfaction was expressed
with the high level of relations between the two fraternal
countries. The questions on the foreign policy were answered at the
"round table" held at the Bursa Uludag University.
The chairmen of Azerbaijani and Turkish think-tank made speeches with reports on Azerbaijani foreign policy and relations between two countries at the conference held Yalova University. The Turkish side was represented by Mayor of Yalova City Vali Esengul Civelek, MP Temel Coshkun, Rector of the University of Yalova Niyazi Ereslu, Prorector at the University of Yalova Professor Ali Rza Abay, Director of International Relations Department at the University of Yalova Professor Kenan Dağçı and others.
A series of reports were presented at the conference on the theme of "Azerbaijan foreign policy and Turkish-Azerbaijani relations" moderated by Professor Muzaffer Yılmaz at the Balikesir University.
Director of Azerbaijan`s SAM, made a presentation on Azerbaijan's foreign policy and the direction it follows. Azerbaijani MP Musa Gasimli spoke about Azerbaijan-Turkey relations, Principal Research Fellow at SAM Dr. Javid Valiyev touched on Azerbaijan's vision of regional projects. Director of Qafqaz Research Center Araz Aslanli spoke about Azerbaijan's position on Nagorno-Karabakh. A Principal Research Fellow at SAM Dr. Zaur Valiyev touched on Azerbaijan's economic policy in the region. The Head of Analytical Information Department at Milli Majlis Hatam Jabarly focused on Azerbaijan's direction towards 2015, the Director of APA broadcasting service Vugar Masimoglu touched on media coverage of Azerbaijan-Turkey relations. The delegation representatives included Research Fellow at Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy Taleh Ziyadov and the Head of Press and Media Department at SAM Mehriban Hasanova.
On November 20, SAM's experts met with the Foreign Policy Advisor to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey Ibrahim Kalin in Ankara. The meeting was followed by a round table discussion, which included experts and diplomats from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey.
A conference was also held on the theme "Iron Silk Road:
Baku-Tbilisi-Kars Railway" organized by the SAM and Turkish Center
for Middle Eastern Strategic Studies (ORSAM).
Speaking at the opening of the conference, Azerbaijani ambassador
to Turkey Faig Bagirov, Turkish Professor Nacip Camushchu, Mammadov
and ORSAM chairman Hasan Kanbolat told about high level of
relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan, the implementation of
joint projects and the importance President Ilham Aliyev's official
visit to Turkey. The discussions were held on the influence of the
Baku-Tbilisi-Kars project to regional geopolitical situation, and
its contribution to other countries` economy and global
significance.
