Qafqaz University hosts Nations' Day

Qafqaz University, a private university based in Azerbaijan's capital Baku, has hosted the Nations' Day, an event attended by representatives of the embassies of numerous countries as well as its students.

Foreign students receiving education there got a chance to present their national culture and cuisine at the event.

Addressing the event, Qafqaz University principal, Prof. Ahmet Sanich said Qafqaz University holds one of the leading places among Azerbaijan's private universities. Accordingly, the number of foreign students who aspire to study at this university is increasing year-on-year.

Currently, students from 17 foreign countries study at Qafqaz University.

The university said that as part of the event, foreign students were taken to the historical places of Azerbaijan, in particular, the Guba cemetery. The goal was to provide them with detailed information about the country.

Qafqaz University was founded in 1993. The education system and programs of Turkish and Western universities are taken as a model in preparing its curriculums. The main goal of the university is to provide students with higher education that meets international standards and play an active role in fostering excellence, cooperation and interaction with international academic milieu.
