Azerbaijani President pays tribute to National Leader Heydar Aliyev
May 10 marks the 90th anniversary of architect and founder of the independent state of Azerbaijan, world-renowned politician, National Leader Heydar Aliyev, Azertac state news agency reported.
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and his spouse Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva, the national leader`s family members and close friends visited the Alley of Honors on May 10 to pay tribute to Heydar Aliyev.
President Ilham Aliyev laid a wreath at National Leader Heydar Aliyev`s tomb.
The national anthem of Azerbaijan was performed.
Then, the Head of State and his family members laid flowers at the graves of outstanding ophthalmologist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva, prominent public figure Aziz Aliyev and famous doctor, scientist Tamerlan Aliyev.
