TurkPA reps to attend CICA meeting
A delegation of the Turkic-speaking countries Parliamentary Assembly`s (TurkPA) International Secretariat will attend the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures (CICA), which kicks off in Ankara, Turkey.
The delegation was invited to the event as an observer.
During the visit, the TurkPA delegation is expected to hold meetings with representatives of international organisations, as well as officials of the Turkish parliament.
TurkPA, which includes Azerbaijan, Turkey, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, was founded in Baku in 2009. The secretariat of the organization, based in the city, comprises the secretary general, his deputies from Turkey and Kazakhstan and a group of experts.
The main goal of Turk PA is to maintain the language, culture and history of Turkic-speaking countries, strengthen political, economic and cultural relations, mutual support in international organizations, and share experience in the legislative process.
