Aliyev meets Turkish PM, presidents of Tajikistan and Pakistan

Azerbaijan`s President Ilham Aliyev on Tuesday met visiting Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

During the meeting, they stressed the importance of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Summit in Baku.

President Aliyev and Prime Minister Erdogan praised development of friendly and fraternal relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey in various fields, including political and economic ones.

They expressed confidence fraternal ties between the two countries would continue to expand.

President Aliyev also met his Tajik counterpart Emomali Rahmon on the same day.

The presidents expressed confidence the ECO summit would contribute to expanding cooperation among the organization`s member states.

They praised development of bilateral relations in a variety of fields.

The Azerbaijani and Tajik leaders recalled reciprocal visits at the level of presidents. They noted the role of these visits in strengthening of bilateral ties.

They expressed confidence relationship between Azerbaijan and Tajikistan would continue to strengthen.

Aliyev also met with Pakistani counterpart Asif Ali Zardari.

The two presidents expressed confidence the Baku summit of ECO states would contribute to developing cooperation among the regional countries.

The presidents hailed development of relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan.

Aliyev said there were good prospects for enhancing bilateral relations even more, stressing the necessity of joint activity in this regard.

The Azerbaijani and Pakistani leaders underlined the necessity of implementing joint projects in a variety of fields.

They stressed the importance of continuing joint efforts to develop cooperation in the field of agriculture and banking sector.

The presidents expressed confidence relations between the two countries would continue to strengthen.
