Another stage of Azercell-supported youth project over

BAKU – The second phase of the contest aiming to improve youths’ professional skills that was joined by Azerbaijan’s leading cellular operator Azercell has drawn to a close.

Winners of the contest under the Start Up project, implemented by Tsentr Znaniy (Knowledge Center) organization, were named at a news conference on Tuesday.

Tsentr Znaniy director Sabina Legeyda briefed participants about the main purpose of the project. It seeks to provide professional training for young specialists in the field of their specialization and grant them an opportunity to obtain valuable work experience before they step into their professional roles.

Yevgeni Pasichnyuk, head of Start Up, spoke of the training the winners will undergo and the planned comprehensive training programs.

Under the Start Up project, implemented for Azerbaijani students, four talented youngsters who receive scholarships from Tsentr Znaniy, each worth $10,000, will then obtain an internship opportunity in the world’s major information technology companies.

Azercell Telecom, one of the main partners of the Start Up project, congratulated the winners at the press conference. Ulviyya Hasanzadeh, the head of Azercell’s Corporate Communications and Social Responsibility Unit, said the company supports such projects aiming to support youths. Hasanzadeh added that facilitating education projects has always been one of Azercell Telecom’s top priorities.
