pleasure. Watermelon strengthens human's immune system. It also
protects us against cancer among other benefits. It also contains
the elements of a natural Viagra.
There is nothing better than watermelon to quenche one's thirst.
But like any other product, excessive eating of watermelon can lead
to undesirable consequences.
Watermelon is useful for gout, arthritis, atherosclerosis,
gastritis, infective hepatitis, liver, gall bladder, hypertension,
anemia, heart diseases, obesity and nosebleeds. Everything is good
if you learn how to select and use it. The risk of buying a harmful
watermelon with nitrates reduces gradually to the end of the
August.
How to properly choose a watermelon?
It will be better to buy watermelon in late summer, as
watermelons ripen naturally and there is no need for artificial
technology. Choose a medium-sized watermelon. Avoid small and huge
watermelons. The best option is a 4-5 kg watermelon. Signs of

Certainly, watermelon is a very beneficial fruit but eating it in large amounts is not advised to people with diabetes and nephrolithiasis. Do not eat watermelon together with marinated products, as salt retains fluid and may develop swelling.
Last week there was an outbreak of food poisoning in Sumgayit city believed to be caused by people eating of watermelon.
Those affected by the poisoning were taken to an area hospital. "It is not correct to state that a mass poisoning has taken place because of a watermelon. Some people become ill after eating watermelon but sometimes eating watermelon has nothing to do with an illness. People consume different products during a day including hot meals, cold snacks, watermelon, ice-cream and so on. Most people immediately refer to watermelon after being poisoned. They do not think that food poisoning may be due to other products," Head of the Department of Food Hygiene of the Republican Center of Hygiene and Epidemiology, Ministry of Health Imran Abdullayev said.
